As most will know I am a huge Mercedes and the E class is one of my fav models (apart from the w108 :) ) and I do like the styling of the current one, but not all the tech! My 97 E class was fairly full of tech, for the day, and about the level I would like it now (ML just a little bit too much....) and back in the day my car was $140k odd new, so a new one today for $90k is cheap in comparison.....

My ultimate Mercedes would be a w108 body with the m104 engine and running gear from my old E class....

Which one did you have KGB?

280SL Silver, Ox Blood leather, Navy soft top, Silver hardtop. Sold it to a mad bugger in Brighton, who'd just sold his mineral mine (!) and always wanted one...

was it compulsory to wear a hat and smoke a pipe when driving that thing?

Mercedes have the ability to make some stunning cars, unfortunately this is not one of them.... 2016 GT3
