Stew F Posted 16December, 2014 Report Share Posted 16December, 2014 I saw the Rod Hadfield RR Merlin powered 55 Chevy not long after he built it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIj2GVfua84 It was at the SA Hot Rod Show. We were setting up our club display and he went to fire it up. It didn't start, but proceeded to fill the hall with oil smoke. He was cranking this thing for a couple of minutes continuously, but no go. Needless to say, the fire brigade arrived because the smoke alarm went off. One of my mates comment was a classic. "F*%k, I wouldn't mind his battery".
