Anybody on the 901 register page?

I saw a heading of Australian delivery stats? chassis # info?

Couldn't seem to click on it, I'm not registered there?

I would like to know delivery numbers of the early 930's.

Shady, my info (ex Porsche insider) reads as follows:

1975: 6

1976: 14

1977: 21

1978: 33

1979: 20

1980: 14

1981: 19

1982: 21

1983: 11

1984: 11

Next question is how many where 930s in each year?

Mine is a 76 930 Aus. del. I have seen one other at the classic throttle shop, it sold last year.

Nobody has been able to answer this question for me. Info from PA is limited, not through lack of trying.

I have heard it was purchaced by somebody well known? PA obviously aren't going to tell me who.

It came from Sydney to Adelaide in 96. I have a record from when the registration number was ACM XXX?

Can anybody date that rego number?

I think based on those numbers that they are the 930s

For registration numbers you may find ranges covering years, but not much else.

Finding original owner information is near impossible unless you find some old receipts.

I have old rego papers with names. Not too sure if I should contact them?

Yes, provided you don't come across as a stalker!

I've contacted two of mine and they were both flattered and delighted to email me a page each of reminisces. I've got leads on the two other owners - South Coast gynaecologist and a former MD of Alfa Romeo Australia - that I need to chase up.

The listing I posted is for 930s only...

Thanks for that Rob. Do you happen to have the breakdown of man/coupe/cab etc? I know I'm making you work overtime on this now. :D

They really are low numbers.  I bet Porsche sells that many C2 coupes a month nowadays

Who has the sole 1991 964 Targa in Oz?

You can map the Australian economy by looking at Porsches delivered.  I bet the 94 deliveries are way down, and there is a noticeable dip after the mid 80's recession (1983/4).

There is also a slump in deliveries after the dollar was floated.  A south african guy once asked me what happened in the early 1980s because some cars are impossible to find in the 84-86 timeframe while 81s and 82s are everywhere.

I happen to know that there was 1 sole 964 Carerra 4 Cab delivered in either late 1993 or 1994 - I know because I used to own it!!

It was delivered to Darwin IIRC

It drove very much like a 993 - It was quite weird - It drove really different to my 1990 C4 Cab, which I found to be a far moire energising and involving experience - it was in teh steering and suspension mainly.
