[BNE] The Bathurst 12 Hour, Spicy Beef Ribs - Sunday February 8th 2015

Recommended Posts

We are organising lunch while the Bathurst 12 Hour is running on Sunday ,February 8, 2015.

For those that do not know the 12 hour it is a is an endurance race for GT and production cars held at the Mount Panorama Circuit

In conjunction with the race we are going to cook Spicy Beef Ribs in my outdoor wood fired pizza oven. Cost for lunch is $25 with the proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House, a nominated charity for Qld's Cars and Coffee. Hopefully we will be able to organise some fun raffles, sweeps etc with the proceeds going to RHMC.

Booking and payment via PayPal are essential- until you have paid your booking is still open. Minimum numbers are 10, maximum numbers are 20

Lunch will be in Coorparoo, Brisbane. I don't want to post too much information on a public forum but if interested either private message or email me and I will send additional information.

As we decide on ideas I will update the information-any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

I wanted to get the idea out as early as possible to allow people to plan for a day of cars food and fun-at an additional cost we could do an engine drop or a couple of oil changes.

Great poster!

We can thank FlatSix for the poster

I'd come but I'll be at the race.  :)

Poor excuse - you will see more and get to ribs in Brisbane. Though, there is a small amount of envy there

I have been to a few endurance races in my time. Never to spectate though.

I cant think of anything better than

-Motorsport

-wood fired pizza oven

-spicey ribs

-talking P car from dawn till dusk

Shame I can't make it.

Poster look s good hey!

We think it will a good combination

Impressive. I will take the day off and get of the tractor just for this.

Cheere Ken.

So count you in?

Now men, February 8 is World Marriage Day   It could be a good day to be out of the house

The thread needs a bump-we have 6 starters at this time and need a minimum of 10.

Come on Brisbane PFA's we need your support and I can guarantee you the best value lunch with lots of Porsche action.

Thanks PeterP for the support-you realise my reasons for doing this are completely selfish.

I want to watch the race, I love ribs and its all be more fun shared with fellow enthusiasts.

  • 4 weeks later...

Thanks to everyone for making  such a great day - I only supplied a venue. it is the people that made the day a success.

the

Thanks to Bernadette-she put a huge amount of effort in helping to make the day a success and it would not have been the good it was without her effort and she is so over motor racing.

Now I have add up the funds to see what we can hand to the charity

Thanks Ken! Had a great day and plenty of time for some good stories and some laughs with all the safety cars, looking forward to next year!

One for you FlatSix

caledonian-did you have number 35 - no one else at the table seemed to have it so you are the only one left. If not claimed the funds will go to charity

None of you guys got cameras up there?

Camera - no one had time for a camera. We were all too busy eating drinking and watching the safety car   :)

yes i am in Ken

I have to make special thanks to IAM 911-that dessert you bought was so good.

Bernadette has confiscated all the left overs and they have left with her to work today. Many thanks, making a woman happy is a very important achievement
