Coastr Posted 14April, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 14April, 2015 Hmm I just read that and it looks like I'm part of organising it or something. I was told about it and may or may not go.
Mike D'Silva Posted 15April, 2015 Report Share Posted 15April, 2015 im gonna go.. i reckon it will be pretty chockas but hopefully i can string a few good corners together.. maximum of 100 cars per session!!!
Coastr Posted 15April, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 15April, 2015 Yeah I'm not really sure what the 'cruise' sessions involve. It sounds like a bunch of cars driving the track in procession, and with that many cars it can't be fast. There are the other sessions with 40 cars which sounds like it is more serious. But then there is also no mention of helmets, scrutineering etc so I don't really know what the go is.
Coastr Posted 19April, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 19April, 2015 Well I'm here watching the 'cruise'- which seems to be get on the track and drive as fast as you want without being stupid. It's essentially a mild trackday session for $30 and no helmets .

Oh - didn't see a 2002? What colour? I'll be nice and not post the video of the GT getting stalled while parking. Great to actually see it in somewhat use - I've only ever seen it parked. It sounds amazing even tootling around like that.

Coastr Posted 19April, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 19April, 2015 It's definitely a cool concept. A bit like tourist laps at the nurburging minus the buses. I did see a Range Rover doing laps though.

550Spyder Posted 19April, 2015 Report Share Posted 19April, 2015 Awesome. Thanks for posting the pics. I spent a lot of time at Lakeside first time around 20 years ago. Still looks the same. What a great concept, the cheapest track day in town. Bring it on in Melbourne !
BENC4S Posted 23April, 2015 Report Share Posted 23April, 2015 I had my C4S there too - what a blast ! 75.00 to park the pits and that included two cruises - although cruise is not what I'd call it - more go like a bat out of hell and overtake as many cars as you can .. Was a heap of fun though
