TINGY Posted 30April, 2015 Report Share Posted 30April, 2015 I know i like a midweek drive, what about you guys? Last year Peter M organized 2 epic drives both well over 600kms, one was down the Putty Rd from Newcastle, out through Kurrajong, Lithgow, Castlereagh Hwy, Bylong Valley Way and home along the Golden Hwy. The other went to Wauchope via Gloucester, Thunderbolts Way, Oxley Hwy then down the freeway home, great drives, actually i'm pretty sure Pete is looking to do these drives again I've seen people post up in the past about midweek stuff so i thought i would start this thread to gauge some interest and for people to throw up some ideas for a drive. I guess i'm lucky most weeks i only work for 3 shifts and mainly Fridays are good for me and i can make some Mondays and Wednesdays anyhoo let's get our heads together and get something up, doesn't have to be an epic day out it can be a catch up on the Central Coast for a coffee and chat or a 100 km loop somewhere, please post your interest. Peter M Posted 30April, 2015 Report Share Posted 30April, 2015 I'm keen! Not fussed where but the Putty/Bylong Valley is worth another go but hopefully all dry this time. When do you want to go? BJM's made me keen for a run to the Snowy Mountains too but I guess that would be an overnighter.
BJM Posted 30April, 2015 Report Share Posted 30April, 2015 Yes yes yes. What better reason to take a day off work. Friday is the best for me as well. Friday works for the over night Snowy Mts. Just saying.
Dreamr Posted 30April, 2015 Report Share Posted 30April, 2015 I'm keen for a mid week drive almost any day that suits the majority.... In saying that, I like your idea of the coffee, catch up and maybe the 100km Run as opposed to the 600km ones ...

turboT Posted 1May, 2015 Report Share Posted 1May, 2015 Was about to make a derogatory comment about tradies, retirees and housewives,..... but realized I was just jealous. Clearly you are all internet tycoons with a lot of free time.
TINGY Posted 1May, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 1May, 2015 Well in a way I guess I may be semi-retired when I look at my roster. Housewives, Dreamr I wouldn't take that comment if I were you.

turboT Posted 1May, 2015 Report Share Posted 1May, 2015 Are you boys joining us on Sunday? Just saw a weather report that suggested Sunday may no longer be a rainy one and I saw the Newcastle gig had been cancelled. We purposely put it in your neighborhood to entice you Northern folk down so would be good to see you.
TINGY Posted 1May, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 1May, 2015 I'm a maybe at this stage, if it's raining no, showers maybe. Also I'm not that keen to end up out Windsor way so I may do a shorter version if I go and do Dom's suggestion and have lunch at At Albans.
