Got my 964

Congratulations Fraz, there was times I didn't think it would happen!

The oilite bush is rooted because the end plate has started to separate from the rest of the casing. Also looks like the brushes need replacing too.

I'd say replace whole motor especially since they are only around $150USD:

(Suggest you check the balance of the fan as it may have lost its balance weights and this was the cause of the motor end place separating.)

Getting these 17 inch except with polished outer. Thinking of putting on the PORSCHE side script in matt silver.

Car came with a set of lowered H&R springs. Just have to resist the temptation to do shocks as well.

Fixed the fan for the grand sum of $14. Went to a specialist bearing supplier, fitted a bearing that was very close. Now works perfectly with no noise.

Nice Fraz, this is going to look awesome.

I'm dying to put a set of black/polished lip 17" Fuchs on mine with Porsche script but resisting temptation to spend more money on car.

Will you be ordering from the UK Fuchs site? This seems to be the cheapest option, less than $4k landed including local taxes, etc

Congrats on the cheap fix to the fan!

Looking forward to seeing your 964.

Yes Mate still have the Monaro. I have contemplated selling, then I start it and those thoughts rapidly evaporate. Mind you, it's does seem a bit of a waste to have two toys. The old Monaro looks a bit left out these days stashed in the back of the garage.

Loving the C4, cant seem to keep out if it. Discovered a few more minor things that are getting fixed when the car gets lowered. Then in for some paint less dent removal, nothing major most people can't see it. Then off to the detailer for paint correction.

Did a short Vid. Love the noise.

Lowered springs are in, she is low, just over the 100mm

Will have to play with the spring preload to fine tune the ride height a bit.

Discovered why the non genuine steering rack boots were fitted. OEM boots are a prick of of thing to fit, well passenger side anyway.

Wheels and tyres next.

Nice Fraz, looking very good nice and low.

I really like the idea of running a lowered ride height with D90's and spacers so it's sitting nice and flush.

Can you post some more pics (side) before you change wheels?
