keg_guts Posted 7October, 2015 Report Share Posted 7October, 2015 Took my son and wife out for a drive the other day, the car has been in storage for a while after it had its rego check, went to put the passenger seat forward and the seat release mechanism is broken? It was working fine previously, the passenger seat doesn't get much use at all as neither my son or wife like going out in the FrankenP, too noisy and hot for them.So am a bit annoyed that I didn't notice it before.Anyone know who I can get to have a look at it, Sydney based. Also anyone know a good auto electrician in Sydney as well, the central locking needs attention a long with a few other electrical gremlins. The car's an 84 911 coupe.steve

keg_guts Posted 7October, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 7October, 2015 Thanks for the reply I don't think so, I don't have easy access to the car so I can't duck out and check, but it seemed like the seat release knob is loose and hangs out of the track. There's no friction/drag on it, it's like it has just disconnected from the cable, just flops around.just annoyed I didn't notice it after the mechanic had it, but don't access the passenger side other than to pop the hood occasionally, so I can't apportion blame now.
