Hi All,

Thought I would introduce myself - my name is Paul...been lurking a little while and finally decided I should say hello.  I have met a couple of you before I think at PCNSW events, most recently the concourse, but forgot names!

Now to the important stuff - I am lucky to have a couple of 911SCs - a 1981 coupe (the garage queen with only 50,000 odd kms on it) and my old faithful 1983 cabriolet which is like a comfy old pair of slippers.  Looking to add to the collection as always, but that looks to have become a bit of an expensive exercise in the past couple of months, for some reason - I am glad to understand a little more of the reason for that and have some views of my own too.

Anyway, I will get around to putting some pics on in due course (seems like a process!?).  Hope to meet up with you guys soon - I am glad to join on any drives or catch-ups.

Kind Regards,

Paul

Hi Steve thanks for your kind welcome...I spent a couple of minutes working it out...here goes for a pic of the cabrio with Ruby my Golden Retriever, fresh out of quarantine from Indonesia...

OK...here is the minter...which is currently in hibernation thanks to small head stud issue, which will likely be rectified in the next couple of months...  I have read that it is often the cars with low mileage that suffer head stud issues - something to be conscious of.

Hi All, thanks so much for your very kind welcomes - it is nice to feel so loved, especially so early in the piece!  I have had my cars for quite a long while (for me anyway, I usually get bored after a few years and change, but I have had the cabriolet for 8 years or so and the coupe for more than 6.  I really do look forward to meeting you in person at some point and catching up here in the interim.

Just by way of background, these aren't my first Porsches - I started with a 1982 944 (when I was 21 - probably could have made a better investment, but anyway!), then a 1980 924 Turbo (owned it for  a grand total of 3 days before a speeding idiot wrote it off at a roundabout for me) and a 1989 944 S2 (which I had for a while - lovely car which only had 44,000kms on it when I sadly sold it to fund an apartment - would love to find that one again - sold it to a fellow in Victoria - triple black with forged 928 style alloys, so quite a unique car).

I have also owned a bit of a variety of other cars (and bikes too) - Alfa GTVs (x2), BMW 325, Mercedes 500SEC (C140) and 380SL (R107), Fiat 850, Rover P3500, MGB MkII, Volvo 244GL (runabout haha!).  Could be the makings of an interesting thread there...

Kind Regards,

Paul
