For Sale 944 Turbo 1986

Recommended Posts

Team,

Time to sell my much loved 1986 944 Turbo

I've recently completed a ground up restoration which can be seen in my profile. There are 1 or 2 small item to finish up but the hard work has been done. I need to fund other cars and projects so its time let her go.

Short list of item during rebuild.

Engine rebuild ground up all Porsche parts

New paint inside and out

Engine harnesses fully rebuilt new connectors

And many more items

The history of the car. It was sold into South Africa, then made its way to NZ then founds its way to WA and now QLD

It has 220,000klms on the speedo but that makes little difference now given the work I've done to completed the build  over the last two years.

More than happy to answer any questions and inspection are very welcome.

$23K is the asking price!

That is great value, you should sell it pretty quick. I'd love it myself, make a nice shed partner for the S2

Not having much luck Guys! maybe my asking price is off the money?? but I don't think so!!! please tell me if im wrong!

Hey Daryl

Sorry you haven't had any takers yet - as you know, I've seen the car and it's gorgeous!  I think you need more exposure - I don't see it on CarSales - only 3 Turbos on there and if my info is correct, the only one available is the left-hooker from WA.  An ad on CarSales might be the go...B).  Pricing for your car, is good, just need someone to come and see it.

Its with mixed feelings I'm selling her Rob, You are right if I lift her exposure I may sell her but then again! if I don't I keep her. Crazy I know but just too many projects in the drive way!  What to do??????

I am in total agreeance with Mark.

The right buyer is out there Daryl, more exposure is what you need.

I would if I could but am just about to rebuild my beast.....

Be proud, wait and it will happen. It's definately a great car and I am sure you could find somewhere to keep it until the right buyer turns up.

GLWS mate.....

saw one of these today and must admit I really enjoyed the lines it has. Red is probably the best for it as with the combo seating colour.

Thanks ... No Porsche just yet, I'm kind of re-visiting cars of my youth that I didn't buy ... or some other emotional-financial-disorder.

Vormamin,

Did you find the link to my build thread? sorry I only just saw your post!

Regards Foyley

I did ... looks sweet, esp as it just this side of historic-rego in NSW ... I'm certainly keen, with an irritating caveat in that I've got a house unsold which I hope will not be the case by the end of the year. As soon as I get a buyer I'd be keen to talk seriously about it. It's exactly the kind of 'forum' buy I look for ... I'd pay the asking price -- but don't want be a tire-kicker in the mean time.
