turboT Posted 1November, 2015 Report Share Posted 1November, 2015 Couldn't help but notice that Duttons seem to be better at collecting Porsche's than selling them, bucking trends by holding onto stock for months. It is important that these institutions survive to maintain our current inflated pricing and make us generally feel better about our purchases, so dig deep people (you will need to). It is Duttons Month and I will be monitoring sales in November. Every little bit helps, your assistance is appreciated.Oh, incase you were wondering POAThe current stock we are trying to off load:

JLD Posted 2November, 2015 Report Share Posted 2November, 2015 No matter the seller, I hate seeing POA attached to a car ad. To me it says either it's a ridiculous rip off or they're trying to gauge what you can pay when they see you. I don't even bother as I know I'll be wasting my time

turboT Posted 2November, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 2November, 2015 T, are you secretly working for Duttons??not working for them, but looks like I could give them a hand writing a car sales ad or 10. Pretty arrogant only advertising on your own site (I think they also advertise internationally). Even CTS admits defeat after a few months and put their stock online. Mike737 Posted 2November, 2015 Report Share Posted 2November, 2015 It's all a sham to bring people through the doors to look at the cars so the cafe, which isn't owned by them, can sell coffee which I'm sure they might make profit on rent and sales above a point so they can then keep the cats for themselves. I'm on to their strategy

I think you're a fair way away for total cost for them as some of the stuff trades hands at higher prices. The 918 no idea on but probably around that if not more as taxes need to included.997 GT2 is more than 300k. People are selling 997.1 3 RS's for $350+ with >30k on them and 997.2 RS' are over 400. I think they probably want 450-500 for it but someone could ask.The 968 would be 50k I reckonThe green 964 I reckon would be bought at say $120k959 is going to be well more than $1.4, they sell for that in USD. I reckon its closer to 2m+.73 RS I think would be 1.3-1.4m356B Coupes trade in the 180-230k in top condition356 pre-A would be approx 400Also I don't know how much of this stuff they are keeping as stock or for George etc, ultiamtely prices for some of this stuff aren't going down long term so it shouldn't/won't matter if they don't sell (unless they need to move them on). A CGT is going to be worth big money in future and not long ago you could have bought one for $400k USD. Same with the 356s especially the pre-A. Jerry Seinfield just paid $600k odd USD for an unrestored A speedster.

1q2w3e4r Posted 4November, 2015 Report Share Posted 4November, 2015 That's what the stuff sells for though.I know of 2 356B's that have sold for that range in the last 2-3 months and a pre A coupe shell is $100k if you can find one. They offered me $300k sight unseen for my 997 GT2 a month or so back when I was down there having a look around and lots of local 3/RS' have changed hands in the 300-400+ range lately (with the small market size), I also know the 968 RS as its a mate of mine's ex business partner's car.The super/hyper car stuff will likely go back overseas as people who for example want a CGT locally already have them., there isn't a huge market for million dollar cars locally but is internationally, the fall of the AUD also helps them.Great to see these cars locally, especially some of the older stuff. A lot of it is still going to end up in the UK, Indo or Asia and when it does they arent' coming back.
