Dsisco Posted 21November, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 21November, 2015 I have ordered the SSI from Pelican, should see them next week some time,Can anyone recommend a shop who can fit these for me in Melbourne? What costs would be reasonable
Mike-S Posted 21November, 2015 Report Share Posted 21November, 2015 Where in Melbourne are you? There seems to be a plethora of specialists dotted around the place so you're probably not far from one. I'm in Bayside area and have 4 within 8km of the house (that I know of)Interested to hear how much shipping was from Pelican, that's normally what puts me off ordering from there. Mike-S Posted 23November, 2015 Report Share Posted 23November, 2015 If you're in St Kilda then 9 Auto in Highett aren't far away. I'd forgotten about the import duty, might have to wait until I have relatives coming over with space in their luggage...

tazzieman Posted 23November, 2015 Report Share Posted 23November, 2015 Find someone with a hoist and bit of knowledge. I did mine in such a manner and called in "slightly late" for work.I didn't have any broken studs , though did have to make a couple of new ones (from cv bolts). They really are just bolt on , so don't get ripped off. Harvs11 Posted 23November, 2015 Report Share Posted 23November, 2015 Swapping headers is fairly straightforward, extra work is involved in switching oil lines if you are going from stock SC to pre-73 set-up, so factor that into your costs.
