Hey Chris I just did some research on that ship and it turns out this guy is the new captain!

Francesco Schettino, the captain of the Costa Concordia cruise ship, which ran aground off ItalyFrancesco-Schettino-the-captain-of-the-C

Now Chris definitely wont be able to sleep:(

Only joshin!

Ha, good on you Trev. Yep that would be my luck :lol:

Can't wait to drive with you during the run in stage. Probably the only time I'll keep up with you.

Keep the 17th of Jan free :D

Mines also now on a boat - just a couple of days behind Chris and Roders.

Although I'm banking on my captain making a dive under brakes as they round Cape Town. Have told the kids we are moving Xmas back a couple of weeks as a consequence.

Once you know the VIN# you can track it on-line through shipping sites.

This site tells you which ship it is on, and then what the schedule for it is.

And then this site tells you where the ship is in the world! (This is linked directly to my ship in the below link but you can type in any ship name you like and it will then find it)

I just heard that a two car team of Cayman GT4's are coming from Germany for the 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour....looking forward to that.

Cheers,

Geoff.

Slightly misleading however in that they aren't Cayman GT4's as we are getting - or even the new Cayman GT4 CS's race cars.

They are a Cayman S built to FIA GT4 (as opposed to GT3) regulations. So really they are just a Cayman S racecar as below. The new race Cayman GT4 CS's would be a LOT faster than these will be (in fact you couldn't race one here in anything sadly as they are a lot quicker than GT4 spec cars and are effectively old 997 Cup car quick).

^^ That looks mega. I contemplated getting a second set of rims in the palladium until I saw the $12.5K without rubber price tag!

Hopefully I'll take mine to Bathurst in April - presuming that Rennsport Australia is still going ahead. Will make a nice detour on the road trip.
