Sumoman Posted 5December, 2015 Report Share Posted 5December, 2015 Hi everyone,I stumbled across this forum today while looking for an answer for my question. I didn't realise there was a forum in Oz (cause I never looked!)I was lucky enough to purchase a locally delivered 911 Carrera 3.2 at the beginning of the year. I reckon its one of the only ones around with a baby seat in the back! As with many other people, it has been something I have wanted for a long time and it still puts a smile on my face every time I walk into my garage. I am happy I have stumbled on a page with some like minded people.I have bought some parts of Pelican Parts and was happy with them (except for customs) but I am looking for some of the bumper guards, rubber parts on bumpers, side mirrors etc as mine have deteriorated over the years in the summer sun. So for parts like bumper rubber strips, baffles, side mirror rubber, what is the difference if it says made for USA cars? So the next question would be then in general would they fit Australian delivered cars?Look forward to your help and contributing where I can. SteveT Posted 5December, 2015 Report Share Posted 5December, 2015 Mirrors are different in LH drive cars as the driver is, obviously, on the other side. Bumper parts may be different due to the impact bumper rules that the US had.
Stew F Posted 5December, 2015 Report Share Posted 5December, 2015 You can download the parts catalogue for your model from Porsche Classic. I always find it the best place to start. If you download the catalogue through the US Porsche site you'll find it the same one that's used for the other regions.http://www.porsche.com/australia/accessoriesandservice/classic/originalpartscatalogue/
Peter M Posted 5December, 2015 Report Share Posted 5December, 2015 Sumo,Welcome!I would recommend that you download the parts manual - called PET - for your car from the Porsche Classic site. The parts manual will tell you what's what for the various LHD and RHD cars by a comment in "note" column and importantly the correct parts number. I have found a parts manual has made life very easy. Also don't forget James at Autohaus in Sydney for these sorts of parts too. CheersPeter EDIT: Stew, obvious two great minds at work simultaneously!

Stew F Posted 5December, 2015 Report Share Posted 5December, 2015 The previous owner of my car used to have 2 baby seats in the back. It still has the restraint anchorages in place.

Sumoman Posted 6December, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 6December, 2015 And here I thought I was being special. You have a beautiful car Turbo T, looks magnificent! My 20 month old girl had me wrapped around her finger when she started requesting on the weekend to go in the broom broom broom as opposed to the family car and goes weeeeee every time I accidently plant the foot down a little more than should for a few seconds.
