Steve88 Posted 24December, 2015 Report Share Posted 24December, 2015 Hey guys I have finally gotten around to remove my stone guards and as i finally peel off the last sticky part a small silicon circle peeps out from the bottom rubber strip on the car. Then i unscrewed the end cap to be able to remove the bottom rubber stirp and can see a small body colour panel surrounded by a very thin sicilon ring . Any idea what it is or what its for ? I have side script decals waiting to be applied but would like to know what the go is before i try to fir them . Im thinking of just applying them the kind of cover it up Any advice or info on what the go is . Many thanks guys Steve

Harvs11 Posted 24December, 2015 Report Share Posted 24December, 2015 This circular panel covers the clearance hole which allows the rear torsion bars to slide out. Not required if you have coil over springs like on later models.
Steve88 Posted 24December, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 24December, 2015 Please see the photo attached . Hanging to apply this side script but need to remedy this first . I was thinking to remove the rubber seal but fear the outline of the hole will be just as pronounced
Harvs11 Posted 24December, 2015 Report Share Posted 24December, 2015 I think you're stuck with this one. Put it down to part of the 911's imperfect charm.
Steve88 Posted 25December, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 25December, 2015 Decided to take a look behind the seals and have a poke around . Loosened the bottom rubber strip to remove it a fraction then took off the screw holding the tab plate behind the access point . When it loosened i simply removed the rubber part that was poking out and tucked it into the bottom lower seal . No worries , i think it looks heaps better and ready for decals . Stew F Posted 25December, 2015 Report Share Posted 25December, 2015 I have white seals on mine (white car and all), but they don't stick out anywhere near as much as the one in your photo. They're almost flush with the covers.
