OzStriker Posted 3January, 2016 Report Share Posted 3January, 2016 Hi fellow Porsche enthusiasts,I need a couple of tyres to get my car registered, it has 16x9 Fuchs at the rear. I am finding it very difficult (admittedly it isn't the best time of year for this) to source any Toyo Proxes T1R tyres in 245/45 16" size locally. I I have been told they don't exist anymore in Australia and Tirerack won't send Toyos to Australia Does anyone have any suggestions? The car is a Carrera 3.2 with late 80s turbo wheels (16x7/9) and the car is used on the road only. Thanks and Happy New Year to all
Mezger Autosport Posted 3January, 2016 Report Share Posted 3January, 2016 Try stucky tyres in Brunswick, he is very good at sourcing odd boots for old cars.
Stew F Posted 3January, 2016 Report Share Posted 3January, 2016 When I got new tyres back in October I considered the T1R's. I went to 2 dealers and they both said 245/45 16's were in stock (somewhere) and they would have them the next day. Neither place was in the metro area of Adelaide as such - both were near me, which is 1/2 hour from town. Try the Tyrepower stores.
