Harvs11 Posted 14January, 2016 Report Share Posted 14January, 2016 There are a plenty of flag mirror removal threads on Pelican. Most mention popping out the glass from the housing and disconnecting the wires from the mirror assembly. The wires are then pulled through. Sounds fiddly. There's also a harness connector shown in this diagram which looks like it lives inside the door.
81SC Posted 14January, 2016 Report Share Posted 14January, 2016 Hughesy,I use the Molex pin extraction tools that are available from Jaycar Electronics. If you have a store near you they have them in stock usually, that's how I got mine.If you're not close to a Jaycar store, use their website & type Molex into their search function. There are 2 tools available, one to push out the male pin & the other for the female pin. See my Molex pin tools below from Jaycar. Our projects seem to be on a parallel lately. Shame we're not closer, so we could share the resources. OZ930 Posted 14January, 2016 Report Share Posted 14January, 2016 Maybe PFA should set up a tool loan store for the specialist tools that are generally only used once then gather dust. Postage/freight/handling plus a refundable deposit on return of said tool "undamaged".Just a thought
