81SC Posted 14February, 2016 Report Share Posted 14February, 2016 Brains trust,I have been offered an old Motometer tyre gauge in a leather pouch, from a guy I work with. Do we think this is a Porsche related item? Do you think this gauge would be applicable for my 81SC era car?
Peter M Posted 14February, 2016 Report Share Posted 14February, 2016 I think they were commonly available in parts stores in the 70's. They are nicely made and easy to use and must have been reasonably cheap as my father had one!As for being Porsche related, I only recall using to check the pressures on his Holden's and a Volvo...... Stew F Posted 17February, 2016 Report Share Posted 17February, 2016 Could have been supplied to any number of automakers throughout Europe as an OEM item. Or it could have been sold through z lokal Autobahn stores. Not to be confused with Boyce Moto Meter company in the US who made those amazingly ornate radiator gauges. In fact, I recall Deutz and Fendt tractors had an almost identical one, but with their own branding.
