smit2100 Posted 24February, 2016 Report Share Posted 24February, 2016 Rob Raymer ar RSR in Melbourne has a nice red 964 C4No mention of a distain for a cabrio, but I reckon that coupe above will be a sizable multiplier to this one (refer to link) in terms of advertised price. I had a quick look at it on the showroom floor before Christmas and thought it was pretty clean, but at the same time thinking I not seeing the same bang for buck compared to a 996tt given we are taking about similar purchase prices outlays (eg just forego the weekly carton of crownies and a packet of smokes for just one year) http://www.healeyfactory.com.au/listing/1990-porsche-911-964-c4-cabrio/

hugh Posted 24February, 2016 Report Share Posted 24February, 2016 Hi Hugh thanks for the reply after a coupe man pref c2 but if it's c4 oh well up to 90K You'll struggle to pick up a C2 under 100k nowadays. A week ago I'd say you'd have the pick of a few C4's but it seems that tide has sailed too. I'm sure others will chime in with their 2 cents. poli84 Posted 24February, 2016 Report Share Posted 24February, 2016 There is obviously this green one on Carsales wwhich is asking $25k more than your budget but realistically, I think $100k should buy you a great example of an Aus delivered 964 C4 in a colour other than red but just be patient. I mean 6-12 months patient. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1990/SSE-AD-3837328/?Cr=38I think if any hit the market now while these two $125k and $119k cars are still advertised, they will advertise at a similar price so you may need to either wait for these to sell or hassle the owners for a better price.Hit up all of the reputable mechanics in the area, see if they have customers looking for an easy sell.
