Cheers! I've entered the Regularity for shits and giggles since I'm going to be there anyways.

Fingers crossed the "minimum time" is appropriately set for a field of Porsches rather than the usual base times seen for Regularity events.

Thanks for the heads up Alex!

I so loathe thee ;-)

Telya what. You enter me, and I'll drive the one you don't want to! Sounds like a bloody good plan to me! :-)

  • 2 weeks later...

Can anybody tell me what is happening on the Friday at Rennsport? When this event was first advertised the dates went Friday thru Sunday, and I booked accomodation accordingly. The program now refers to Sat and Sun tickets only. Is there anything happening on the Friday that spectators able to attend? I've now got an extra day to kill.

Friday is practice day for any cars on the track.   No spectators at all.   I did the same thing as you, and planned to arrive Thursday.   Now i'm taking a more relaxed drive down and will arrive Friday.

This is an email from Doreen from Eastern Creek (ARDC) on Friday access to the track.

Hi Ross,

Yes it is a 3 event, but the Friday being only practise does not need a ticket for entry.

Spectators and those wanting to assist competitors are welcome to enter on the Friday at no charge.

I hope that clears that up for you?? But please feel free to ask further if not.

Cheers

Doreen

Hi Snowman,

I've just entered for regularity also, if you (and anyone else) are keen to buddy up on garage spaces let me know so we can put the request form in!

I'll most likely be signing up for regularity too, just waiting on the all clear from the docs re my wrist. I'll be in my 77 though, don't want to cramp you GT4 & GT3 boys style though. :D

It would be cool to at least get put near to one another though - a PFA section! :)

I'm flying in with a mate Saturday morning - home Sunday night and I know a few others are doing the same. I'm gathering my Hertz Corolla won't be welcome on the track (although it might be amusing).

What's the plan for a meet up? Would be good to meet you guys from the North. We are staying in Paramatta

cheers

Dave

PC NSW and PCQ are doing a joint event on Sat and Sunday.    Saturday is a drive which arrives back at the track at 3pm (why, I dont know) and Sunday is an early morning breakfast drive.

I, however, am not doing either.

I am staying at Castle Hill and am happy to meet anywhere with others.

Sounds great - although I'm not entirely sure the Regulatory guys will get a garage. I think the Cup Car etc will get all the garages and us regularity guys will get a small patch of grass in the corner somewhere (happy to be wrong however!)

But it would be good to have group. I have Blaise (Teutonic) coming with me as well.

How many are doing the Sat night dinner? We haven't signed up for it yet.

Hugh - what are your travel plans? I'm planning to head up early Thursday morning.

I emailed Doreen about the garage situation last week, she advised me that we will indeed get a space, but I'll bet my left one the pit lane garage spaces are all spoken for, we may just get a car port space though out back. I was apprehensive about being out in the elements, which is why I emailed her.

Hi Kurt,
Have another look at the website as it actually explains that Porsche Rennsport have in fact included ‘accomodation’ for your vehicle in the entry fee.
They have taken it all off line as they intend to do the placement of the entries.
They have however given you the option of requesting to be beside your friends.
If you follow this link, it will take you directly to the appropriate page;

if you would like to download the form, fill it in and send it back to me, then I will forward it to Porsche on your behalf.
If you have any other issues please feel free to get in touch.
