You might need some new tyres...

Thinking Mickey Thompson street slicks.

That looks like it is going to be fun to get in and out of with that cage ;) . Is it going to be registered, or just a track car?

Street registered, hence the bolt-in front section of the cage.

Seeing the mother of a turbo in the engine bay certainly puts things into perspective--it is an f'ing monster!!! <start my evil laugh> you are mad <stop my evil laugh>

Bwahahaha

So I had an engineer out a couple of weeks ago. It was an initial consultation aimed at documenting work so far and providing guidance on future mods, so that when he comes back to certify there won't be any shortcomings.

The good news is that my research has paid off - I'm on the right path with the build and the engineer is happy with the actual and proposed mods, so there should be no issue in him issuing a certificate when it's ready to hit the streets.   :D

Got bored waiting for parts to arrive so decided to see what the wheels look like...

^^ V noice.  No centrecap would be my preference but black better than the silver / polished / chrome.

Going to get some flat ones made, using  a bit of alloy sheet and the centre cap as a template, so the hub/wheel bearings are hidden. Might even have a crack at it myself.

Will look very tough with Mickey Thompsons fitted to those wheels. Very nice!

Ended up with Nitto NT05 semi slicks...The Mickeys were going to be too wide. Despite being "235", they were more like 255s.

Love the look of those wheels, what colour will the car be?

Silver of some sort. The original colour is Concorde, but leaning towards something more modern like Sonic, as seen in the current Mazda range. Will get some samples and see take it from there.

235/40 for the back:
