The Fuka  was 88 .and likely can't pass the requirement. Irrespective of age glad he didn't hit my kids

Yeah, he's 88, but if you met him you'd think he was in his 60's. He has to pass a medical every year to keep his licence and the requirement for people over 80 to have to sit a practical test every year was scrapped due to the evidence clearly showing that people of that age are no more of a risk of causing an accident than anyone younger. He's also an ex road rally champion, again no excuse but who wouldn't get into a car with Stirling Moss, Paddy Hopkirk or Jackie Stewart just because they're an OAP.

Also, where he was caught was not a small suburban 50kmh road, but a very wide road that actually used to be an 80kmh zone, that was changed just like many other roads around this country seemingly just because they can.

Again, I'm not saying what he did was right, he had a blast in an inappropriate place and got caught. Who here hasn't taken their car for a spirited drive and gone over the limit !!

you said the word 'inappropriate' ... everyone hand on heart (or in the coxster region) and all step backwards and the last dandy dangling will likely fess up also to early morning open road antics.... Hate to say it and as much as I like a Swedish au pair... (I still love benny hill)  I do  believe in self regulation more so  n all... been an ex pro you could argue he should be more 'appropriate' than most.

Ps my 2 penny rant  is nothing about being ageist

PPS if the dude didn't realise  the speed signs  had been changed from 110 to 80...
