Steve88 Posted 5April, 2016 Report Share Posted 5April, 2016 Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for headlight bulb upgrades for my SC .Current visibility at night can be compared to driving with your eyes closed whilst wearing both a blindfold and sunglasses . Looking for something that will be bright but also look period not keen on White light or blue if this makes sense at all .Also in the progress of wiring up my foggies so any recommendations on bulbs for these it will also be greatly appreciated . Furthermore looking to chuck in a new immobiliser as the current one is a mess and not great . Where did you buy it ? How much was it ? What brand is it ?Many thanks Steve

MFX Posted 5April, 2016 Report Share Posted 5April, 2016 I am going to try these. Basically they just replace your current globes and give you Singer style head lights. You can then change your lenses with early clear VW ones as well if you want the full look.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2X-MINI-2-5-HID-BI-XENON-PROJECTOR-LENS-KIT-HID-HEADLIGHT-SHROUD-H1-H4-H7-RHD-/171976059219?hash=item280a926953:g:HC8AAOSwl9BWKGE6

michel Posted 7April, 2016 Report Share Posted 7April, 2016 Steve with alt if dodgy you can usually have fixed and or improved ( output) based on auto elecs advice. An alternate if needing replacement is to buy the K3 from the manufacturer in QLD.
GM911 Posted 7April, 2016 Report Share Posted 7April, 2016 Have you checked the headlight aim is spot on? When I first picked up my 3.2, I could not tell if the headlights were on or off at night. The bulbs had been replaced by the previous owner in I assume an attempt to improve things. They were Philips X-treme. After I adjusted the headlight aim, I was very happy. MFX Posted 7April, 2016 Report Share Posted 7April, 2016 As far as immobilisers go. I drove a few cars years ago in which you needed to be touching a certain screw to earth it out, or the car won't start. One of my friends had the car broken into in the driveway and the thieves got in got it hot wired, but when it didn't start after 20 seconds it started beeping the horn, and they ran. Successful immobiliser in my eyes. I would look into something like that.
