Fabulous car!

91 will ever be driven , the rest squirreled away in collections . Seriously , there will be people with several of these as investments.

There is a guy in NZ with 3 of the 75 Stirling Moss edition Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLRs. Never driven.

Ridiculous.  I remember taking my RSCS (now sold as I'd had my fun - oh and was offered drug money so ....) for a run with a few people and pulling a 30 metre liquorice strap up the road.  At the next stop one of the people came up horrified and asked how I could do that.  I told him easy - ease it off the line, give it plenty of Florshiem and hold it flat until the limiter cuts in and pull second.  He nearly spewed. My 9 yo old son pissed himself laughing ... love that boy!

As a frequent flyer I've scored an order for one of the new RS's.  If I can master posting a vid up here, fear not - I will be seeking to emulate Stefan the Great and caning the living daylights out of it and putting it up for the edification of all.

I mean, really?  Each to their own I suppose.  I've got  few in the shed but none of them get put in the humidor.  For me its a bit like wine.  Why look at the label when you can open it and get shitfaced?

Just sayin' - as the kids who work for me put it.

The people who put them away in collections are not really interested in driving. They have a chauffeur for that!

If I was that wealthy . I'd crash and burn it just to piss off the purists. Follow the example of Rowan Atkinson , most driven McLaren F1 ever plus - a few bingles, not of the lara kind...

The Boxster's are in my view the best of breed in terms of Porsche handling and well deserving of hard driving.  I remember years ago I took my wifes early Boxster S (3.2) to the old Morwell Hillclimb for a bit of a recce before a PCV event and pushed it that hard that the "integrated dry sump" wet itself and the thing blew white smoke half way back to Melbourne before it cleared!  Ooops....
