HECTOR Posted 17March, 2012 Report Share Posted 17March, 2012 Hi There, I know this has been debated before but just wanted to see if anyone had any new evidence whether replacing a standard air filter on a 3.2 carrera with a cone filter was worth doing in regards to possible horsepower increase or does it just come down to a "sound' thing? I also read somewhere that people have drilled holes in the airbox lid and got the same results. Is it a matter of finding the right amount of airflow or is it a matter of more air the better. Thanks for your comments. p.s If the cone type airfilters are the way to go which would be the best brand? Hector
Guest vas930 Posted 18March, 2012 Report Share Posted 18March, 2012 Hope this helps. http://forums.pelica...-k-n-paper.html Hector, in my opinion you will not get more HP on a stock engine by changing to an aftermarket filter. Your 3.2 will benefit from a nice exhaust and muffler. However, big gains are found in$ide the engine. The 3.2 loves a low boost turbo.

Michael144 Posted 15November, 2012 Report Share Posted 15November, 2012 Well i don't thin its true that by drilling some holes in airbox you can get more power. So please don't any foolish action like this. They may lead to a great faults to your car. I think you should not touch up with this crappy things. hope you understand.
