935fanatic Posted 5March, 2018 Report Share Posted 5March, 2018 This is a set of vintage original Marchal 662 driving / fog lights. They are original vintage parts, not reproductions. Marchal lights were used on racing Porsches and Ferraris in the 1950's. I bought these lights about 10 years ago and have had them stored since then. I haven't polished the chrome - they are in the same condition as when they arrived to me and they should polish up very nicely. These lights have yellow fog bulbs in them, which is what gives the reflectors a yellow reflection in the photos. If you wanted to run clear bulbs in them, you could swap the yellow bulbs for clear bulbs - the reflectors are not yellow, the yellow is just the reflection from the bulbs. The last set of similar lights I saw advertised, were this set ... https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2129943 ... which were advertised at $1100 (it's not clear if that is US$1100 or Canadian $1100). I am asking Australian $900 (or near offer) which is approx US $700 on today's exchange rate. I'm open to sensible offers on them. They are located in Sydney. I ship by Express Post with insurance and a signature required on delivery - the signature and insurance makes sure that Australia Post can't leave the package unattended on your doorstep etc. More photos below ...
