This is a very clean used set of 997 Carrera S factory optional equipment exhaust tips.

These are a factory optional equipment part that are made from stainless steel tubing with polished chrome tip sections and are in superb condition. I haven't polished them - they should polish up very very nicely. They are listed in the PET optional equipment section under the option code "-IX54 Stainless Steel Tailpipes".

I have the left assembly and the right assembly, so the parts to replace the tips / tailpipes on both sides of the car.

They are beautifully made with super nice tig welds on them - they look like they have been welded by hand, not by a robot.

Where the outer polished chrome piece sits, instead of just welding a piece of chrome tubed onto the end of the tips, Porsche has built them with an inner tubular section that widens as it nears the tips to maximise the exhaust flow, then rolled the outside lip in on itself (which is quite a difficult thing to do), and then the outer rolled section meets the inner stainless section at the same inner diameter - they are a very impressive piece of craftsmanship.

I called a Porsche dealer in Australia to check what they sell for, and was advised that the factory part numbers for them are 99711198203 & 99711198103 and that they sell for $1524 inc GST for the pair. They are special order from Germany and are not stocked in Australia by Porsche.

I checked pricing on Pelican Parts on them, and Pelican sells them for US$539 each which is Australian $697 each (Australian $1394 for a pair). See ...

I am open to sensible offers on them, so if someone wants a set either to replace a damaged set on a Carrera S or to add these optional tailpipes to another model of 997, please send me a message through the forum message system.

They are in Sydney and I can post them anywhere in Australia.

More photos of them are below ...

FVD sells a kit to fit the 997 S tips to a non-S 997. The 997 S has a larger diameter pipe than the pipes on a non-S 997, so FVD helpfully has a kit so that the S tips will bolt onto a non-S exhaust system.
