mockney999 Posted 16December, 2013 Report Share Posted 16December, 2013 I have been reading that Porsche have now confirmed what LMP1 prototype will be known as.... the 919 and also confirmed the full driver line up for 2014http://www.fiawec.com/en/news/porsche-names-lieb-and-hartley-for-lmp1-programme_1630.htmlI am really looking forward to the start of the season, I am just hoping that even in the first year back that Porsche will be on the pace and can even look to win a few races.I am actually planning to visit home (England) in spring next year and as the first race is the 6 hours at Silverstone on the 20th April I now have a date to try to work with, it would be awesome to be at the first event where the 919 gets to race in anger. So what are your views, do you think the 919 has any chance of being competitive against the Audi and Toyota's in 2014?.I was also reading with interest an article on Top Gear (yes I know I should be working :-). They are say that Ferrari are also not ruling out a return to the series in 2015. All we would need is Aston Martin and Jaguar to also build there own prototype and you can forget all about F1 and their stupid double points, rubbish tyres, pointless venues and the less said about Bernie the better.http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/ferrari-le-mans-lmp1-2013-08-
