myred911 Posted 10November, 2010 Report Share Posted 10November, 2010 To all P. nuts and petrol heads alike , I present for your delight and edification images of the inaugural Targa High Country 5 - 7 November 2010 around Mansfield. We tripped to Mansfield pm Friday intending to take some pics of the Prologue and a stage or two on Saturday. Such was the excitement, noise, smoke on offer we stayed until the end. What an amazing experience it was. It was sometimes tricky navigating our way between stages as road closures blocked our way and forced lengthy detours. It was near impossible to cover every stage of the event so we decided to cover one stage in the morning of each day and a second stage in the afternoons. A few PCV boys competed plus many notables as well. Several "offs" and sadly a tragedy. MGB punter John Batkin suffered heart failure Sunday afternoon on a transport stage, he was conveyed to the Mansfield hospital but passed away there.
