black911 Posted 13June, 2014 Report Share Posted 13June, 2014 Can anyone provide any helpful advice regarding the passenger power window. If cars not used for a week or so, the passenger window doesn't want to open. Once I free it up manually using the hex tool through the small speaker and move it only slightly it works fine. If I use the car during the next few days the window still works as per normal. However leave the car for a week and back to the same problem. Ben C3.o Posted 13June, 2014 Report Share Posted 13June, 2014 Sounds like it could be the felt channel need replacing as it to works fine after you fee it. Does it look like it has ever been replaced?
black911 Posted 13June, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 13June, 2014 Hi Ben The felt looks in excellent condition and my 911 has just about traveled 50,000 km but just in case I've used candle wax to lubricant the felt runners. You would think if it was the felt then the window would stick again the next day or so. Leave the car for longer than a week, it won't open without manually moving it ever so slightly. Got me beat because the driver side works ok and has never been problem.
