JABO69 Posted 13January, 2015 Report Share Posted 13January, 2015 Hi Can I get some advice on the best products to clean a set of Porsche 20in Carrera Satin Black wheels, they are brand new sitting on my Cayman S. Also is there anything special about cleaning and sealing Satin style wheels..? Cheers
Flatout Posted 19January, 2015 Report Share Posted 19January, 2015 If you want a quality wheel cleaner, I'd recommend P21s. Won't harm your wheels or the paint finish. If you want to protect them, I use Poorboys wheel wax which works well at protecting the wheels from brake dust, makes them easier to clean & I think it deepens the satin finish a little. Although I find 2 coats is better than 1 which is not normally the case for a wax. Easy to use & smells nice (if you like your wheels to smell nice). I get them from waxit. Cheers. Daz987 Posted 20January, 2015 Report Share Posted 20January, 2015 Buy a really soft and gentle wash mit. You'll be surprised how easy it is to scratch [swirl mark] your wheels with an aggressive brush. Zymol make a wheel cleaning product and wheel protect product too, really worth trying. The Australian distributor now sells it on eBay for good prices. The wheel protect stops brake dust from sticking, so next time you wash the wheels, a rinse first off basically cleans them.
