FS: 924 Turbo with Carrera GT body kit project (PRICE REDUCED)

Recommended Posts

Porsche 924 Turbo/924 Carrera GT replica + nearly a complete spare car worth of spare parts.

**** Huge price reduction ****

I bought this 924T with a blown engine, I went a bit over the top with the rebuild and then proceeded to run out of time and money to finish it off.

With a young family and massive work commitments, hence no time to do anything with the 924T, I have finally, reluctantly decided to sell it as an unfinished project.

I have a couple of sheds full of spares, basically a complete 924T, less the bodyshell, including disassembled engine, torque tube, snail shell transaxle, F & R suspension, brakes, rear sub frame, L & R doors, bonnet, glass hatch, many, many boxes of small stuff. There's a set of 944 phone dials (as in most of the pics) and set of Compomotive (UK) 15" 3-piece Fuchs replicas.

So what does it need to get it going again, the engine needs to be assembled, the block is bored, just needs a flywheel & clutch decision/purchase made, then the bottom end can be lightened and balanced, before the short motor is assembled. I was going to use either a SPEC brand clutch or a Sachs Performance clutch from Germany. There's a rebuilt standard turbo (done by Rotormaster in Somerton).

The the engine needs to be put assembled . I was going to purchase one of Dan's (Ideola) water to air intercoolers, I was going to go with an aftermarket ECU, probably Link G4 or s/h Motec.

There's probably more details/items that I haven't remembered, so i'll update the post when there's more to add.

The car was road registered and driving when I bought it a few years ago. It had recently had a Victorian Roadworthy Certificate, so it would not be super difficult to get back on the road. I was going to get a club permit for it (about 1/7th the price of full Vic rego). It will need pads and rotors, probably a reconditioned steering rack, some suspension bushes.

If you're looking to get into a good 924 Carrera GT replica project, with lots of spares, this would be a great option!!

Edit: Price drop.
How much do I want for it? AU$4,950 O.N.O.  (just buying a new Carrera GT body kit will set you back about $3K)

If you purchase this car, you will need to pick it up with a tandem trailer. Then you will need to come back with another tandem trailer to pick up all the parts. There's a lot.

Car is located in Montmorency, VIC.

PM me for more detail. Thanks for reading.
