Aircooled Junkie Posted 5September, 2016 Report Share Posted 5September, 2016 For Melbourne Porsche Forum members who may be interested the Bathurst 12 Hour event is on again February.4th & 5th This is a ripping weekend as the Canberra & Sydney forum guys will tell you.. Were not talking Holdens & Fords, but P Cars, Ferrari, Lambos, Benleys etc the real deal.and a fab weekend. Forum members from Syd, Canberra along with Melb usually camp in the grounds just above the pit area.The idea if possible is to bring your P Cars and convoy from the various States, meeting up partying & driving there is half the fun ! The preferential campsite bookings closed at the end of August and now the remaining sites near the pits are selling out quickly as the event gains status each year. There are also some sites left at McPhillamy Park at the top of the mountain ( our groups usually camp near the pits & drive or bus to the top the mountain each day where our chairs etc are left overnight ) The cost per circuit camp site for weekend is a modest $ 95.00 plus a weekend ticket to the event around $100.00. which is good value.You can book on line through Ticketek For example I have just taken a block of 6 camp sites and these are already spoken for, So if anyone has interest NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT !! Book, get organised, borrow a tent, sleeping bag, camp stove rough it for a change and party hard with like minded dudes. Happy to field questions. !!
