I feasted on some classic cars and bikes at the Winton Historics last weekend and snapped a few shots for the delight and edification of all. From a photographer's point of view, Winton has some limitations. There is a good spot on a landing under the Dunlop garage (this was occupied for most of the day by a chap in a racing wheelchair so ousting him was not good form), also at the western end of the main straight and way down to the east end of the track near the new garages. Unfortunately the organisers were using the short track for this event so that position was out of action. Unless you have CAMS accreditation the options are limited. Local Porsche punter turned Datsun buff Jeff Thomas in action. Team Webster were also present but I somehow missed them. Darn!
