tungatina64 Posted 31October, 2012 Report Share Posted 31October, 2012 I need to install a front tow hook to my 1976 3.0 911 within the next couple of weeks. I have the standard one for the rear (which comes as part of the tool bag), but uncertain where to install one for the front, without cutting into the bodywork/front impact bumper. Have done some internet searching and a few options to buy from o/s but running out of time. Any suggestions/experience with this would be greatly appreciated. hugh Posted 31October, 2012 Report Share Posted 31October, 2012 Hey Mike, I have a spare 'Velo' strap if you are interested, it can be fixed via the front bar bolts and hang out below the rubber. http://www.velo.com.au/itemdetailspage/31987

hugh Posted 1November, 2012 Report Share Posted 1November, 2012 My thoughts exactly, I would walk into it everytime.............. More than happy to pass on mine as I will never use it. I purchased (2) but ended up putting a fixed one on the rear so this is yours if you want it. Are you going to Sandown on the weekend? If so I can bring it along. Let me know your preferance, Cheers. tungatina64 Posted 1November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 1November, 2012 thanks so much not going to Sandown as going away with the fam this 'long' weekend. I will message you (if I can work out how to do it!) as can arrange to have it picked up if easier.
tungatina64 Posted 15November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 15November, 2012 Hugh, you will recognise the attached velo strap! It has been located where it can pull straight without ripping off the spoiler/bumper etc. Thanks heaps...and hopefully I will never need it!
