Jed Posted 30November, 2012 Report Share Posted 30November, 2012 Hi guys - have been looking on and off again over the last few months. Found another yellow one (what is it with yellow TTs?) http://carsales.prestigeautotraders.com.au/view.php/our_stock/2002_Porsche_911_TURBO_4WD_Turbo_Yellow_6_Speed_Manual_Coupe/6122143/ Seems reasonable price wise. Will have a look and see. Any comments or inout welcome! Thanks all Jed
Jimmy Posted 1December, 2012 Report Share Posted 1December, 2012 Things that come to mind to look out for on these brilliant cars are; - Make sure all the dash board screen lights come on when ignition is on prior to starting engine. - Rear spoiler actuators are known to fail, cost up to 5k to fix, look for oil leaks on actuators and or error failure message on dash screen. Press the manual switch button to lift spoiler to see if activates error code. -Second gear pop out, leave in 2nd let rev (before limiter) and let slow down to almost walking speed without touching brake or accelerator - expensive to fix if pops out of gear -Check for fluid leaks, especially coolant or brake fluid, run your had under bottom right of front fender, between spoiler and wheel arch at the lowest point. - Engine oil leaks cost up to 9k to fix I will keep adding more points as it all comes back to me. The MY03 models have 25% stiffer chassis and most of the above issues sorted. Hope this helps and good luck.
