Merv Posted 4March, 2021 Report Share Posted 4March, 2021 A friend who does not frequent this forum recently replaced his original front shocks (car above) with new quality inserts, in the original Boge strut. All good. In looking at the original shocks they are of a different construction of course, with hydraulic oil in there and the shock absorber piston moves up and down in the strut tube with the oil damping suspension movement. Notably, there is compression only and no obvious rebound. I assume that this is the original operation. Now he has the two pistons out and surplus to his requirements. Are they worth keeping or giving away to someone?
