Nu2Pcars Posted 1May, 2021 Report Share Posted 1May, 2021 Has anyone needed a 997.1 tiptronic transmission mechatronic (control unit) replaced? These are Mercedes 722.6 units apparently. These are reasonably common in the MB world. Wondering if anyone has had theirs checked by a Merc or a transmission specialist to diagnose and change a part in the mechtronic unit rather than change the entire unit? My 997.2 PDK is 10yrs old with 34K reverted to limp mode on two occasions, I quickly replaced the pan & filter, and flushed/purged the system twice and it is now better than ever.
