I purchased the car as imported in 2016 and completed the build with a 2.7 MFI motor. Import permit available. 2.7 RS driving experience at a fraction of the price. BODYWORK All standard- painted white sometime prior to being imported – originally light yellow as per the Kardex. Paint is generally good with some chips/blemishes. No rust or any other issues that I am aware of. INTERIOR All original apart from R type door panels and door pulls. Aftermarket driver’s seat + original seat. Momo aftermarket steering wheel + original recovered steering wheel. Interior in good condition. ENGINE 1974 2.7 block, bottom end built by Supertec in the USA. All oiling mods done, ARP rod bolts and Supertec head studs. Mahle 9.8:1 pistons and nickasil barrels. Heads reconditioned and engine assembled by Michael Newton Automotive. All invoices available. All original 2.0S MFI components fitted and calibrated by Michael Newton. Retrofit CDI+ programmable ignition, SSI extractors and Dansk stainless sport muffler. Engine has done less than 1000 km’s. GEARBOX 1970 911 gearbox which has ratios better suited to the 2.7 than an earlier 901 gearbox. 215mm Sachs aluminium pressure plate and standard Sachs clutch disc. Original Porsche ZF LSD. Shifts smoothly – no issues. Bott shifter from Germany. Easily the best shifting early 911 that I have driven High torque starter motor. BRAKES All refurbished, including the original aluminium S front calipers. SUSPENSION All overhauled with new bushes. 21mm front and 27mm rear torsion bars. Koni adjustable shock absorbers. Original front and rear swaybars. Aftermarket 15x6 rims with 205/50 Yokohama A08 tires. Mechanically the car is spot on apart from the oil level gauge not working and it starting with a hidden push button switch. The only thing the car could possibly do with are a set of wheels with more period correct tire’s and some paint correction.
