davidtran Posted 28April Report Share Posted 28April Hey everyone, today I went to open my engine lid and noticed that when I lifted wiper up it was wiggling at the base. I tried to tighten the nut, but it was already tight. I took it off and had to look and notice that there was play between the nut and the wiper for some reason. I couldn't figure out why it had play. Maybe someone take off and forget to put washer or maybe over time, base of wiper has worn out? But If I let it longer I think it would have damaged the spline of wiper blade and motor. I tried to fixed this by adding a washer inbetween nut and wiper arm. I couldn't decided whether to put nylon washer or zinc washer, in the end put zinc (only had blue zinc), hopefully ok, I think it's same as yellow zinc Hopefully this helps others.
