Aureliob01 Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 Hi all, I drove my Cayeene a couple of days ago and was all fine, I go to start it the next day and it won't start / doesn't crank over, message on instrument cluster says PRESS BRAKE PEDAL, I do but nothing happens, I thought it may have been the brake light switch on the brake pedal but the brake lights work when I press it so I gather that's ? When I put the key in the ignition all dash lights and electrics seem to work fine however I did notice the day when I was driving it that a PSM failure appeared on the instrument cluster but then disappeared and drove fine. The vehicle has only one battery located under the seat and is fully charged Any one had this problem before ?
Hounddub Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 Interesting symptoms. Could be as simple as the pedal sensor.....but PSM warnings may mean something a touch more complicated. No doubt a flash would reveal if it is terminal.
Aureliob01 Posted 27September, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 If the brake lights are coming on, I presume the pedal sensor would be ok? And excuse my ignorance but what's a Flash?
teknostar Posted 28September, 2013 Report Share Posted 28September, 2013 I wouldn't start either if i was referred to as a 'Cayeene'
