Hounddub Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 Stumbled on this article today in the SMH. http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/aussies-cashing-in-on-halfprice-supercars-20130927-2uig4.html Got me thinking, if there has been a trend towards more parallel imports over the past few years it will have one of two outcomes......imports will be seen as more acceptable on the used market, buyers will long term be reluctant to pay huge premiums on the used market for locally complied cars. Given that all import Porsches (parallel or locallly delivered) all have the same VIN prefix (denoting a Rest of World car of which UK cars are the same), technically the only premium is for a compliance plate....which is unique only to Australia. Interesting read I thought.....time will tell.
