Quozl Posted 3May, 2014 Report Share Posted 3May, 2014 Dr. Stephan Hummel of Audi Electrics/Electronics was involved in the Audi virtual cockpit development. He explains the Audi virtual cockpit operating modes in the new Audi TT with the 12,3" TFT screen - it also offers Google Street View in the GPS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYHObFZlz34&feature=share&list=PLZqvo5rXklBuAGKpqpNLjc5YRZ0Am0RRQ&index=14 I'd buy an Audi for a daily just for this! Guest hepkat63 Posted 4May, 2014 Report Share Posted 4May, 2014 wonder how many will end up on the wrong side of the road or round a pole because the driver was too busy playing with the dash instead of watching the road?
Quozl Posted 4May, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 4May, 2014 I would imagine most features will be disabled from being changed when driving. The nanny brigade will make sure that happens here anyway.
J.J. Posted 5May, 2014 Report Share Posted 5May, 2014 awesome but very distracting.
Tit Posted 5May, 2014 Report Share Posted 5May, 2014 A mate of mine let me drive his new Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's got an LCD dash and it's wildly distracting. All I wanted was the digital speedo and several times the thing drew my eyes into the cabin to work out how to get it. I gave up eventually.
