Once signed in, go to your user ID in the top right hand corner, click on your name and come down and select "Your Settings". Once there, select "Profile" under "Your Options", and then select "Change Avatar". At this point you can take 1 of three different options of either using your own avatar (picture) or use one of the existing avatars supplied at the bottom. To use your own, choose the first option of "Choose File", and find the pic you intend to use on your computer. If it is too big, the forum software should be able to resize it small enough to use.
