It is also the only one that was built with a 6-cylinder engine - all others were built on the basis of the 914/4. An Austrian collector has imported the car a few years ago from the US to Europe. From a variety of available documents it seems that offered ‘Eagle’ was presented in the American Porsche Club newspaper in 1988. Likewise, it has won the legendary ‘Pikes Peak’ race. It occupied third place at the Country Club Plaza Porsche Show and first place at the Wyandotte Country Fair out of 114 participants. The ‘Eagle’ is not in running order due to its long service life.Porsche ‘Eagle’In the 80s, US company ‘Onki-Eagle’ produced vehicles with plastic body shells as replica of the original vehicles. Thus ‘Onki-Eagle’ also started producing the Porsche ‘Eagle’, yet had to stop unit production due to a lawsuit filed by Ferrari after only 13 cars were built. Ferrari won the lawsuit because it was an unlicensed plagiarism of Ferrari 246 Dino. Today the existence of 6 vehicles is known, whereby only one was ever built with the 6-cylinder 2.4-liter engine from the Porsche 911.General notification: According to A. 1.2 in our general terms and conditions cars auctioned by Auctionata are goods on consignment which Auctionata has been provided with by consignors.
