Guest vas930 Posted 17June, 2011 Report Share Posted 17June, 2011 Welcome to the club. Great to see you have a 930. Do as much research as you can. Any turbo charged engine wants a free flowing exhaust. To learn more check out http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/ Also look at http://www.rarelyl8.com/ This is a very popular system at a good price. Also ask your Porsche mech. I hope this helps, good luck. Vas.

It's all new to me, but I am sure I will navigate my way around and also upload some pictures of my "Dream Machine" I picked her up 3 years ago (my 2nd 1985 930 Coupe AUS) and she is immaculate. I had purchased a dual outlet exhaust system from a long established manufacturer, which was diagnosed to be a faulty unit. At around 1000 RPM, it would make a knocking sound... They cut it up and stitched it back together- no fix... The annoying sound at low revs was doing my head in, and at one stage, I pulled up at a luxury Hotel to be asked whether my vehicle was broken down? Cut a long story short, getting a refund and now to start shopping!!! I also want to purchase heat exchangers, bigger turbo, cold air intake and a wastegate. If you can recommended the suitable modifications, that would be great. Thank you Michael
Guest vas930 Posted 18June, 2011 Report Share Posted 18June, 2011 Great to see your enthusiasm Michael. If your planning on the turbo mod and others, "do not" buy the exhaust as a seperate upgrade. These mods you want are all interlinked. You need an overall plan if this is what you want to do. Read up on the sites I gave you and dont rush without having a plan ,so all the mods work together. This way you dont end up paying for things to be altered. Talk to Brian at Rarelyl8, he will give some good advice. If you have a Porsche mech, talk to him also. Remember this is just my advice, be sure to learn as much youself and ask others. Then you can do the mods with confidence. Be aware of the effect of a biger turbo has on things like fuel delivery ect. So read up, ask people in the know and enjoy the BOOST. Vas.
