twood Posted 8October, 2015 Report Share Posted 8October, 2015 The relay is in the front boot along with all the other relays and fuses. My auto electrician told me that he has never replaced a relay - normally it is only a solder joint that has cracked and is easily re soldered. If you were closer I have a spare you could use as a testerHere is a very dark video showing how:
twood Posted 8October, 2015 Report Share Posted 8October, 2015 I may be wrong - your DME might be under the passengers seat next to the main engine computer. i am sure someone will chime in and set us straight. Apart from that it is an easy fix if that is the problem.
Peter M Posted 8October, 2015 Report Share Posted 8October, 2015 Froggy,Ken's right, the DME relay under the passenger seat is the one. Also be aware it could be associated with an aftermarket immobiliser if fitted. Most use a cheap relay near the fuse box to control power to the fuel pump and this could be faulty as well.
