Portseamarine Posted 22September, 2011 Report Share Posted 22September, 2011 Hi Guys This is my first post, so i may not be in the right area. I have my dream 1969 912 , silver and in immaculate original condition on its way from the states. Does anyone no about the new rego rules that apply to cars 69 and newer, apparently an engineers certificate is now required , is this true? jnr356 Posted 22September, 2011 Report Share Posted 22September, 2011 if you're not converting it to r/h/d,all you should need is as roadworthy as far as i'm aware
murf Posted 23September, 2011 Report Share Posted 23September, 2011 Justin - I've got an imported 66 - 912 as long as you have your import papers / road worthy certificate / the indicator - brakes lights comply you shouldn't have any issues getting rego - I've taken my 2 LHD imports to the frankston VIC roads - they see plenty of shit so something nice usually passes through no issues. pm me if you want any further details and drop us a picture. murf
Portseamarine Posted 29October, 2011 Author Report Share Posted 29October, 2011 Yes that was what i thought, just a RWC , but my mechanic said something about a new law being passed and anything 69 and later needs an engineers report as well before they will even do the RWC.
