Fabricator Posted 2April, 2012 Report Share Posted 2April, 2012 Hi there, New to the forum and Porsche ownership. While in the states on holidays/business a few weeks ago, I stumbled across this 1976 911s on craigslist while looking for motorbikes. Believe it or not, same owner (71y/o) last 30 years, 30k in receipts, lived in South California all it's life. 100% original with all replacement parts genuine Porsche. New engine w carerra tensioners, turbo valve covers etc....... Bought for not much either. I got lost on the test drive(by myself w no GPS) and by the time I got back, 2 euro dealers were there waiting to view the car. I got spooked and bought it on the spot. My plans are to give it a little tidy up, get rid of those rear impact bumpers and drive it day to day when required. On a side note. When I was going to the shipping company I accidently drove into the wrong one. 80+ classic Porsches and more Mercs than I could count. All heading to Europe. Times are changing. randall Posted 2April, 2012 Report Share Posted 2April, 2012 Looks and sounds like a great buy - congratulations. Will you convert it to RHD?
D-banger Posted 3April, 2012 Report Share Posted 3April, 2012 Nice one Lorne. I agree on getting rid of the rear bumpers...they just don;t look right. Doug
