Paul Carrera Posted 25April, 2017 Report Share Posted 25April, 2017 Just about to change my air filter and I can get a normal one for about $60 or I can go for a K & N one that is susposed to be better air flow but also cleanable for $130 so wondering if they are really any better and if you can really clean and reuse them. Anybody with any experience of using them? Also I have come across the pipercross washable foam ones that sound good for around $120 with lifetime warranty
tazzieman Posted 26April, 2017 Report Share Posted 26April, 2017 The paper filter is a small recurrent cost , all things considered. K&N are superb at marketing. Pipercross lifetime warranty , on the filter , or your MAF (if you have one) and engine?
Paul Carrera Posted 26April, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 26April, 2017 Yes after a bit of research it looks like having a oil based filter could wreck havoc with the MAF so I will be sticking to the standard paper filter
